Empty Bowls is one of Highlands’ favorite community events and the Highlands Food Pantry’s most important source of
financial support. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, September 27 at Highlands Presbyterian Church from 11-2.

Our pantry’s budget this year is $125,000, and we are currently serving 500 or more families every month. The number
continues to grow, with an average of 50 new families coming to the pantry each month. These are our neighbors-
seniors on fixed incomes, working families with children, and individuals who are struggling to keep up with the rising
cost of food and other basic necessities. We are currently spending approximately $7,000 each month on food
purchases simply to keep our shelves stocked. Your support of Empty Bowls is more important than ever.
