Carnaval de Colores
Carnaval de Colores is an annual festival to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month on the plateau. The festival provides us with an opportunity to center the local Hispanic communities and celebrate all the ways in which they enrich the vibrancy of Western North Carolina. Carnaval features great food, music, dancing and games made possible by the amazing volunteers from our local Hispanic communities who help with everything from set-up to food prep to clean up at the end of the evening. The festivities alternate yearly between The Village Green in Cashiers (even years) and Kelsey-Hutchinson Founder’s Park in Highlands (odd years). We hope to see you there!
