Día del Niño

The International Friendship Center and its four programmatic partners- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina, Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau, the Albert Carlton-Cashiers Library, and the WNC Rural Immigrant Services Collective- host a yearly celebration of children at the Cashiers-Glenville Recreation Center on the first Saturday in June 2pm-5pm. The celebration features live musical and dance performances, games and prizes, and amazing food! This is a free community event and all children and their families are welcome to come and join us.

As of 2025, this event has been suspended in the interest of community safety. We hope to relaunch the celebration in 2027.
